CPLC Parenting Arizona and CPLC Parenting Nevada provide family support services statewide through prevention, intervention and treatment programs. These services promote strong families by empowering parents to thrive, thereby creating communities where parents have the skills to raise healthy and successful children.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
As the Parent Resource Coordinator, you will play a vital role in strengthening families and supporting youth throughout the Flagstaff community. You will deliver evidence-based parenting education classes and substance use prevention workshops to families and youth. You will also support operations at the Family Resource Center located in downtown Flagstaff, ensuring families have access to tools, education, and community resources that promote healthy family relationships. In this role, you will conduct outreach to recruit families, caregivers, and community members to participate in Parenting Arizona programs. You will attend community events and educational outreach opportunities throughout the Flagstaff area to increase awareness of available services and build strong partnerships within the community. You will also coordinate parenting classes across Coconino County, maintain accurate attendance and program data, and support communication efforts such as developing and distributing a community-facing e-newsletter. Your work will directly contribute to promoting positive parenting practices, strengthening family relationships, and improving the well-being of children and youth across the community.

You are passionate about supporting families and empowering communities. You enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and thrive in roles where you can educate, connect, and advocate for resources that improve people's lives. You are organized, proactive, and able to balance outreach, facilitation, coordination, and documentation responsibilities. You communicate clearly and build trust easily with families, youth, and community partners. You are also comfortable using technology and data systems to track program participation and support outreach and resource management efforts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
At least 2 years' experience working with individuals or communities from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds. Education or training in a related field such as child development, family studies, psychology, social work, or similar preferred.
Other Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a valid driver's license and access to safe, reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance Must possess a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance card or obtain prior to start of employment Complete CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire and maintain certifications throughout employment Knowledge of infant/child development, parent-child attachment, behavioral health dynamics and child abuse/neglect Knowledge of strength-based and family-centered prevention services Ability to identify family strengths, set goals, and advocate for resources. Knowledge of community resources and how to connect families to needed services (e.g., social services, behavioral health, developmental disability supports). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including being nonjudgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, patient, and tactful Strong written and verbal communication skills to promote clear understanding Ability to be self-motivated and work independently, while also collaborating effectively within team dynamics and under direct supervision to meet program requirements/objectives Bilingual (English and Spanish/Navajo/Hopi) desired.
