Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Take your career as a school-based social worker to the next level by making a lasting impact on students' emotional well-being. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in educational settings, eager to work full-time during the 2026-2027 school year. Preference will be given to candidates who are already credentialed, ensuring a smooth transition into this important role supporting children and their families.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification required Experience as a school social worker or in child/adolescent mental health strongly preferred Knowledge of special education, IEP processes, and school-based counseling Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and parents Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive intervention plans Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings as needed Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and conflict resolution on campus Connect families to community resources and mental health services Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations Working in this full-time role—40 hours per week—you will play an essential part in students' academic and personal development throughout the school year.
