7/20/26 High Tech High Founded in 2000 by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High (HTH) began as a single charter school and has grown into a vibrant network of sixteen K-12 public charter schools serving approximately 6,350 students across four campuses in San Diego County, California. HTH is guided by four core design principles: equity, personalization, authentic work, and collaborative design. These principles serve as the foundation for our approach to teaching and learning. Community Building :
provide multiple avenues for family engagement, not limited to: Communicating regularly with families via newsletter, email, and in person Planning and facilitate monthly (10 total) family engagement meetings (morning and evening) that build family understanding of the work we do in our schools Planning and facilitate experiential learning experiences for families and community members Exploring and executing ways in increase family participation in meetings Exploring alternate ways for families to participate (alternate meeting sites, virtual meetings, etc.)
Family Voice :
Provide multiple avenues for family participation in LCAP and Title I resource decision-making, not limited to: Planning and facilitating (along with K-12 directors) two family meetings each year focused on LCAP/Title I Marketing these meetings Providing alternate avenues for family input Administering and marketing annual family Youth Truth survey (with a goal of increasing participation year over year) This is a part-time, salary position.
