K-12 Job Summary A school district in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a School Social Worker for a full‑time, on‑site contract . This role supports K-12 students by addressing social‑emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs through individual and group services, collaboration with school teams, and family support. Candidates must hold appropriate California licensure or credentialing. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to support student social‑emotional needs Conduct social‑emotional and behavioral assessments as appropriate Participate in IEP and 504 meetings and support special education processes Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community agencies Support crisis intervention and behavior support planning Assist with attendance, engagement, and school‑wide support initiatives Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines Required Qualifications California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential - School Social Work or California LCSW (if accepted by district) Master's degree in Social Work or related field Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting School‑based experience preferred (new graduates welcome if credentialed) Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay Competitive hourly compensation Medical, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan Ongoing clinical and administrative support Professional development opportunities Contract renewal or extension potential Housing and travel assistance (if applicable) Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
