In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services, including clinical counseling, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across hospital, community, and home settings. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes, support families, and foster resilience through evidence-based practices such as psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to develop personalized care plans. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide specialized support for children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, geriatrics, and other complex conditions. Implement crisis management strategies and intervene effectively during mental health emergencies or behavioral crises. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate medical documentation, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and proper coding using CPT and ICD systems for billing and record-keeping. Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, community outreach, home visits, and referrals to specialized services such as special education or addiction counseling. Collect data for clinical research initiatives aimed at improving treatment protocols and patient outcomes across behavioral health disciplines. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution; licensure or certification as required by state law. Proven experience in clinical counseling within hospital or community settings; familiarity with EMR systems for medical records management. Strong skills in psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy techniques. Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and those requiring special education or Alzheimer's care. Knowledge of medical terminology, mental health diagnoses (ICD-9/10 codes), CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver crisis intervention effectively. Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude toward multidisciplinary teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
