Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team as an EDC Aide! The position provides care and supervision for students during after-school hours (K-8th) and school lunch hours (K-6th). The ideal candidate will embrace the mission and values of Modesto Christian School. EDC Aides typically work shifts ranging between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Position Duties and Responsibilities The ability to supervise students Exemplify dependability, creativity, cheerfulness, flexibility, and a teachable spirit Be committed and prompt for assigned shifts and meetings Reflect a loving, caring, nurturing, and compassionate attitude when interacting with children and their parents or guardians Display teamwork and be self-motivated Ability and willingness to clean, sanitize, and keep an organized workplace Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children, documentation, activities, and crafts Assist with homework Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with the children and parents or guardians Adhere to and implement school-wide discipline policies and report any problems to the EDC Director Supervise and manage student behavior in a positive, fair, and equitable manner Required to apply: Must be at least 18 years old Prefer at least 3 units of childhood education or at least 3 years of experience working with school-age children Hold or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification Be an active member or participant of a local church Previous food service experience is helpful, but not required
Pay:
$16.90 - $17.90 per hour
