Site English Language Learner Assessment Coordinator
Opportunities are available for part-time work in the Mountain View Whisman School District. The MVWSD is looking for qualified individuals interested in coordinating and monitoring compliance and documentation related to English Learner Programs and materials. This position includes working with administration, teachers, parents and students, student files, district databases, and mandated requirements of English language learners for a school site(s).
Skills & Knowledge
Fluent English Speaker (native English speaker)
Computer skills (use of Gmail, Excel, PowerSchool, Ellevation, and Word)
Excellent time management skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities
MUST be able to attend monthly Coordinator Meetings of approximately 1-2.5 hrs. AND ELPAC
Tester Training.
MUST be available to work during school hours. Must be flexible.
Implement and monitor processes and procedures for identifying testing (ELPAC), placing, and documenting EL students (including primary language assessment of newcomer students) and reclassification.
Coordinate the annual ELPAC administration with site administrator(s) and District EL Coordinator.
Monitor and maintain the accuracy of EL student records and data in PowerSchool and update information for data collection and retrieval.
Review list of eligible students for reclassification, inform staff of progress of identified students toward reclassification, support collection of data and documentation of recommendation for the reclassification of students, notify parents, and complete all reclassification paperwork.
Initiate and ensure that teachers complete RFEP monitoring. Complete and submit all RFEP Monitoring paperwork, including Student Success Plans when appropriate.
Assist District and site administrators in tracking the progress of students who have been in an EL program for five of more years.
Other duties as assigned by District or site administration as it relates to English Language Learner programs.
