Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and Student Services, the Behavioral Health Manager (BHM) works at the district level primarily with administrators, principals, teachers, staff, and internal and external service providers to strengthen the system of behavioral health supports in the district. Using the Alameda County School-Based Behavioral Health Framework as a guide, their primary focus is on aligning resources and efforts toward implementation of a full continuum of behavioral health supports, as well as a service access and delivery structure throughout the district. This position requires a focus on developing and implementing a multi-tiered system of supports for students experiencing emotional and/or behavioral barriers to learning. The BHM will maintain and coordinate supports for at risk students including providing direct service to a subset of students. This position requires outreach and systems development, and coordination of service provider support. The BHM will advocate for policies and practices that promote psychologically safe environments for students and culturally relevant interventions. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Current California Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) for at least two years is preferred or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) for at least two years will be considered. Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS). Completion of a Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) approved fifteen (15) hour Clinical Supervision course and six (6) hours of continuing professional development in Supervision for each renewal cycle thereafter. Have practiced Psychotherapy during the last two (2) out of the past five (5) years prior to the commencement of Supervision. Possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, or marriage and family therapy. The equivalent of two (2) years full-time post graduate clinical case management experience with youth (4-22 years of age) and families in a school or community setting that serves children and youth. Experience working in a school-based health and mental health setting is preferred Experience supervising Interns is preferred Fingerprint and tuberculosis clearances as required by law.
