Job Description

We currently have a part-time hourly position for an experienced Homestudy Social Worker. The Homestudy Social Worker conducts homestudies and assessments for relatives and other caregivers. They provide an in-depth assessment of the family's background, experiences, relationships, strengths and weaknesses, and capabilities to fost/adopt a child. This is a part-time, hourly position 10-20 hours per week. This position requires in-person visits to family homes.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work or equivalent, ability to communicate well, excellent clinical assessment skills, knowledge of and experience with the foster care/child welfare system, including child mental health and placement/attachment and adoption issues. This position requires excellent writing skills. Must have own car and be willing to travel. Must have flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Must be committed to the mission of the agency. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. People of color and LGBTQ+ individuals are encouraged to apply. The rate for this position is $53/hour.
