Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Education, the Associate Director of Education is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Education in the development and implementation of the network programs, partnerships, and services. The associate director will engage directly in the CSJ educational ministry through unity with God and the dear neighbor without distinction.
Essential Functions:
This position is not limited to the essential functions listed below. Other projects and duties may be assigned. Program Development and Leadership Collaborate with director of education in the design and implementation of new network programs in the areas of ministerial formation, leadership formation, and social justice education among member schools across California. Engage and collaborate with program inquiry, experimentation, and innovation in the areas of ministerial formation, leadership formation, and social justice education among member schools across California. Develop program curriculum which integrates Catholic social teaching, and social science in the context of Catholic education TK-12. Integrate the CSJ Charism throughout network programs. Specifically, through the work of: unity and reconciliation, spiritual and corporal works of mercy, social justice, and the service to the dear neighbor without distinction. Community Engagement and Membership Support Engage in direct service to the needs of teachers and school site administrators of member schools. Through direct service, discover the unique needs of each school and region. | In collaboration with the director of education, address those needs through network programs and support. In collaboration with the director of education, identify new ways of ministry in the service of Catholic education, which is animated by the Gospel, and responds to the sign of the times. At the direction of the director of education, serve as a program presenter and executive coach in ministerial formation, leadership formation, and social justice education. Accompany school site teachers and administrators in their journey as educators and leaders in the ministry of Catholic education. Communication and Representation Serve as a proxy for the Director in the geographic areas throughout California (Eureka, San Francisco, Orange and San Diego) in programs, regional meetings and on campus events. Represent the CSJ Educational Network at local, regional, and national gatherings to strengthen partnerships and visibility. Develop relationships across the CSJ educational network: between schools, (arch)diocese, university partners and network stakeholders. Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships In collaboration with the director of education, support the planning and implementation of strategic partnerships with (Arch)diocese, Catholic Universities, and other key stakeholders. Minimum Education Requirements:
o Minimum of BA and MA in Education and/or Pastoral Ministry or equivalent degree.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
o 5-8 years' experience in Catholic education, educational leadership, ministry or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience in adult learning, leadership formation, coaching and program development. o Well versed in Catholic social teaching, Catholic education, and an understanding (or a willingness to deepen the understanding of) the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, Full-Time (40 hours per week) Able to travel for work throughout California multiple times throughout the year Attend occasional weekend and evenings engagements.
