Working in Adoption, you can be part of a process that helps create families — something that is both rare and truly magnificent. American Adoptions of California is seeking as needed/ PRN social workers in the Victorville or Bakersfield area . You must have a Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university or related Master's Degree with Experience may be considered. Prior adoption experience is strongly recommended. The work is completed on a PRN basis and are paid hourly with travel expenses reimbursed. This is a part time position only and is an ideal situation for social workers wanting to work from their homes for supplemental income. Must be available to meet with clients days, evenings and weekends as fits client's schedules. This position will provide services to both pregnant women considering adoption and adoptive families completing the home study process.
Responsibilities:
Provides education, guidance and support to birth parents through face to face interactions. Also complete assessments and case management services. Position will meet with birth parents in the community. Completes adoptive family home studies and post placement supervision. Completes documentation in case notes log, assist clients with completing paperwork. Assist with completing legal process with biological parents choosing adoption. Communicates regularly with supervisor, National Office and team of adoption professionals. Please submit your resume and we will provide more detailed information. Qualifications •Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university or related Master's Degree with Experience may be considered •Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Prior home study experience required and child placing experience is preferred.
