BASIC FUNCTION
The Administrator provides strategic leadership, supervision, and oversight of various special education programs in the district to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and equitable services for students with disabilities. This role is responsible for advancing best practices in special education, strengthening inclusive service delivery models that support students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), supporting families, overseeing contracted services, and managing budgets and fiscal resources for assigned service lines. The administrator works closely with school site leaders, program specialists, district administrators, legal counsel, and community partners to address complex student needs, ensure on-time IEPs, manage risk, and continuously improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
Requirements / Qualifications
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree with specialized course work in the area of child development and/or liberal studies, and five years' experience teaching Early Childhood Programs and/or early elementary, preferably working in Head Start, State, Title I, and/or Bilingual, and experience in professional learning and leadership roles.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Administrative Services Credential or intern eligibility evidence required. Valid California driver's license, provide personal automobile, and proof of insurance; possession of a California teaching credential and/or Children's Center Supervision Permit required. For full consideration include all of the following documents/information: Credential Copy (or Document Number listed on CTC/if enrolled in an intern program or preliminary program must provide letter from program verifying enrollment and completion of program (for intern program, letter must state you are intern eligible)) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 signed letters dated within 1 year of the application window; letters beyond 1 year or undated will not be accepted) Resume (current and up-to-date) Requirements / Qualifications
