Job Description

driver's license Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center is currently accepting applications for a full time Social Group Worker, working with youth ages 5-11 years. Founded in 1936, Stanford Settlement is a private, non-profit social service agency serving residents of the North area of Sacramento. Our programs for children foster resiliency by increasing protective factors through the group process, along with supportive social services to youth and their families.
Job responsibilities:
Performs initial and ongoing assessments of participants. Plans and implements social development groups. Lead group activities designed to promote mutual aid. Delivers strengths-based social work services to groups and individuals. Ensures program access by providing transportation using agency vehicles Conducts home visits and school visits to participants and their families. Advocates for participants and their families as needed. Works willingly and accepts assignments as given. Attends all mandatory meetings and confererences. Participates in opportunities that enhance personal and professional growth. Performs other duties as necessary or assigned. Maintains a safe work environment by observing agency health and safety policies. Maintains the confidentiality of participants. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work , experience working with at-risk children and teens, and a willingness to learn about the social group work method and the settlement house concept. A valid California driver's license is required, along with one's own automobile and insurance. This position is full time at 40 hours per week, and the rate of pay is $20 per hour, plus medical benefits and paid time off. To apply, please respond to this ad with your resume.
