reviews From $24.47 an hour - Full-time Under the direction of the Case Advocate Supervisor, assesses and delivers available services designed to assist Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants in the specific areas of employment/training and family maintenance; coordinates and directs Morongo Tribal TANF Program (MTTP) resources and communications to meet program objectives and goals to assure smooth and efficient activities. Plan, implement and track services designed to assist Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients in the specific areas of employment and family maintenance; includes the provision of assistance benefits and job training opportunities designed to increase the employability of participants; assure compliance with established standards, laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures. Coordinate and direct resources and communications to meet program objectives and goals; interview applicants/participants to evaluate family needs, barriers, and goals; assist in resolving immediate and long-term challenges to self-sufficiency such as unemployment, housing, health and wellness, and education by providing supportive services and information about community resources. Establish, maintain, and utilize extensive contacts with community resources and government agencies providing related services and assistance to participants; organize and assure proper referral of participants to community resources and culturally appropriate services, including internal career development and prevention and family formation activities. Provide participants with career guidance and support through extensive evaluation and case counseling; advise participants on labor market demands and available training opportunities; assess skills, knowledge, abilities, and interests in order to develop individual Personal Responsibility Plans, matching experience and education to appropriate work activities; assist in locating and applying for employment and/or training opportunities; monitor progress toward self-sufficiency goals. An Associate of Art's Degree in Human Services or related field required Bachelor's degree preferred A minimum of one (1) years increasingly responsible experience in social work, working in community outreach, public administration, or social services agency. Must demonstrate one or more years of experience in the provision of case management in human service setting. Efficient organizational skills; plus excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Proficiency in computer operations and software, and knowledge of basic office equipment is a requirement. Experience providing social services to the Native American community preferred. Valid California Driver License and insurable on company policy.
