Family Assistance Program is seeking a Victims of Crime Outreach Advocate to join our outreach team full-time. This role offers hands-on, meaningful work supporting youth who are victims of crime and helping them connect to safety, resources, and long-term support. What You'll Do As an Outreach Advocate, you will: Provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, referrals, and gateway services to youth victims of crime Educate youth on coping skills and risk-reduction strategies Conduct outreach safely as part of a team Build trusting relationships with youth who voluntarily engage in Family Assistance programs Work collaboratively with community partners, service providers, and other agencies Serve as a representative of the Family Assistance Program within the community Additional responsibilities include: Weekly outreach at bus stations, malls, parks, and community centers Attending community fairs and events to promote agency programs Supporting youth transitions between street outreach, emergency shelter, and transitional living programs Completing time cards, mileage logs, and weekly reports Driving agency vehicles as needed and reporting maintenance or repair issues What We're Looking For No experience required

About the Role The Family Assistance Program is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Specialized Shelter Youth Advocate to join our Welcome Home team on a part-time basis. This outreach-focused position supports youth in crisis and transitional housing environments by providing mentorship, advocacy, and individualized guidance to help them build stable, independent futures. As a Youth Advocate, you'll develop individualized service plans, facilitate life skills and empowerment workshops, and coordinate with community partners to ensure every young person has access to the resources they need. Key Responsibilities Mentor and guide youth under licensing guidelines (Title 22). Assess needs and create individualized action plans. Facilitate workshops and group activities promoting leadership and self-esteem. Advocate for youth in educational, legal, and community settings. Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our Next Step Program. In this role, you will support individuals-particularly those transitioning from incarceration by providing comprehensive case management, advocacy, and life-skills support. The ideal candidate is organized, empathetic, and experienced in working with high-risk populations. You will play a key role in helping clients achieve stability through goal setting, resource coordination, and ongoing support. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
A High School Diploma or Equivalent (G.E.D.) and three or more years of work experience are acceptable. Bachelor's degree in Mental Health, Social Services, or Business Preferred Knowledge of social work practices with high-risk populations.
Experience:
Experience working with people with severe mental illness, providing social services, and knowledge of community outreach. Excellent Documentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with crisis intervention and coordinating external service. Ability to motivate and establish rapport with at-risk youth, transitional youth, and adults.
