About the
Role:
We're seeking an enthusiastic facilitator who puts youth first. In this role, you'll support middle school students with hands-on social-emotional learning. You'll also lead small groups for middle schoolers, helping them build emotional regulation, resilience, and strong peer relationships through group discussions, daily reflections, and activities. You'll also lead the YTJ Leadership Group, a program for high school students interested in social justice, community change, and public policy. In this part of the job, you'll run workshops, discussions, and group projects that help youth grow as leaders in public speaking, critical thinking, advocacy, and activism. We value youth voices, lived experience, and strong relationships. Our goal is to create a supportive space where everyone can take part and grow. Key Responsibilities As a Bilingual Restorative Justice Coordinator, you'll focus on early interventions and mentorship for students who need extra support. Direct Student Support:
Provide social-emotional and behavioral support through one-on-one coaching and small group sessions. Case management & Referrals Manage a caseload of students, track their progress in our program, connect them with other services when needed, and keep clear, accurate records. Family and Staff Collaboration:
Work with school staff to coordinate student care, connect with families and share community resources, and provide bilingual support or translation when needed. Youth Leadership Help organize youth-led projects and leadership opportunities during meetings, and take part in community outreach and program advocacy. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need (Qualifications) Education:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Relevant work or volunteer experience is also considered. Experience:
At least two years of experience working in a school, health, or community setting, ideally with children and teens ages 8-18. Experience working with students, families, and community health or social service agencies. Skills:
Familiarity with trauma-informed practices, equity frameworks, and healing-centered approaches. Strong skills in facilitation, active listening, and conflict management. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, confidentiality, and fairness. Experience working with diverse youth, families, and communities, and strong cultural competency. Proficiency in English (required); Spanish fluency is preferred. You'll need a California driver's license , a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and auto insurance. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits:
