CASA of Santa Barbara County is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Advocate Supervisor for our Santa Maria office . About CASA Our mission is to ensure a safe, nurturing, and permanent home for every child who has experienced abuse or neglect by providing highly trained Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers. Our volunteer advocates are assigned to one child or sibling group and supported every step of the way by staff Advocate Supervisors—like the one we're hiring now. What You'll Do Supervise a team of 30+ CASA volunteers, providing guidance, coaching, and case management. Support volunteers as they advocate for children in court, ensuring reports and recommendations are clear and timely. Serve as a liaison between CASAs and legal, child welfare, and educational professionals. Review, edit, and approve volunteer court reports; assist with report writing when needed. Maintain detailed case and volunteer records. Attend hearings, meetings, and trainings. Promote the mission of CASA and participate in staff development and community engagement. Contribute to volunteer training and recognition. What We're Looking For A minimum of 4 years of professional experience , ideally in social work, education, psychology, or a related field - but we have also found that the right person, with the passion for our work, can learn the role and thrive. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Comfort with high-detail administrative tasks and emotionally sensitive casework. Experience working with or supervising volunteers preferred. Flexible schedule availability (some evening/weekend hours). Passion for child advocacy and nonprofit work. Work Environment & Schedule Standard 40-hour workweek with occasional evenings or weekends. Professional office setting in Santa Maria (no remote work). Training is provided for this position. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 25 lbs, sit or stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced office environment.
