The position is responsible for planning and facilitating student groups, developing and delivering workshops for youth and parents and/or caregivers, and supporting family engagement efforts. The role collaborates closely with school personnel, families, and multidisciplinary team members to promote student success in social, emotional, and behavioral domains. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily carry out each essential duty. Plan, develop, and facilitate structured therapeutic and psychoeducational groups for students Design, coordinate, and deliver workshops for youth and parents and/or caregivers, including skill-building and educational topics. Examples include but are not limited to: Stress management, Goal setting, building resilience, anger management, health relationships, building connection, setting boundaries, positive affirmation & building self worth Organize and facilitate parent groups, including evening sessions as required Provide direct support to students during the school day within the day treatment setting Crisis intervention & student support Assist in the development and implementation of individualized behavioral and support plans Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated service delivery Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with SEWI policy and district program requirements Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the treatment team Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and program planning activities Adhere to all district policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work (LCSW preferred) Demonstrated experience working with children or adolescents in a school, behavioral health, or therapeutic setting Experience facilitating groups and/or developing workshops for youth and families Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Licensure or progress toward licensure (e.g., Associate or Licensed Clinical credentials, where applicable) Experience in a school-based day treatment or similar program Knowledge of trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning, and behavioral intervention strategies Experience engaging families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to effectively facilitate groups and present educational content Knowledge of child and adolescent development and behavioral health principles Ability to manage challenging behaviors using appropriate de-escalation techniques Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Bilingual Spanish speaker (Prefered) Working Conditions Work is performed in a school-based day treatment environment Physical Requirements/Work Environment Regularly sits at a work/computer station and operates electronic equipment. Frequently lifts, carries and positions objects weighing up to 35 pounds. Typically stands, walks, bends, stoops and crouches. Regularly moves about the facility to coordinate work. Must have own form of transportation to travel for work as needed
