Duties & Responsibilities:
To assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with adults and children Assist the teacher in carrying out the duties of caring for children
Qualifications:
CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Edcuation required within 2 years of hire Previous exprience working in a childcare/preschool setting strongly preferred Bilingual/Bicultural preferred Current (within one year) police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required upon hire Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire) NSOR Clearance upon hire
  • If hired without an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA, employees must fulfill an educational requirement to obtain their CDA within 2 years of hire
Salary Range:
PRJ, Based on years of experience in a relevant position The Head Start pay scale is broken down below for reference: 0
  • 4 yrs experience = $17.91 5
  • 10 yrs experience = $19.01 11
  • 16 yrs experience = $20.14 17
  • 22 yrs experience = $21.25 23
  • 28 yrs experience = $22.38 29
  • 35 yrs experience = $23.

Up to 7.5 hours per day (between 7 AM
  • 5 PM); 5 days per week Location(s):
