Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a certified Social Worker in an elementary and middle school environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate, licensed professional ready to collaborate with educators and families to help children succeed both academically and personally.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid professional license as a Social Worker (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent). Certification to practice in school settings. Previous experience working with elementary and middle school students. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Compassionate and adaptable approach when supporting children from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of crisis intervention, case management, and evidence-based counseling strategies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students. Conduct assessments to identify at-risk students and develop intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to address academic and behavioral concerns. Support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) by attending meetings and offering insights. Facilitate small group and one-on-one sessions focused on skill-building or coping strategies. Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources. Maintain all required records in compliance with regulations and school policies.
