Job Description
Boulder County Human Services Department is seeking to hire a Ongoing Casework Manager . Boulder County Human Services is seeking to fill the role of Ongoing Casework Manager. This is the supervisory level classification in the Human Services Caseworker series. The Ongoing Casework Manager performs supervisory oversight to casework staff and complex casework duties with responsibility for planning, organizing and directing the work of a unit of Human Service. The Ongoing Casework Manger is responsible for overseeing a team of ongoing child welfare caseworkers working with children and families in need of services due to concerns of child abuse and/or neglect, and youth beyond control of their parent. Ongoing casework management involves detailed assessment of therapeutic, social, educational, medical, and community needs to ensure children have the best opportunity to heal from trauma, maintain safe and healthy family connections and remain safely in their home and community. Ongoing casework management further seeks to engage families to guide comprehensive service packages to effectively mitigate danger using least restrictive and evidence based practices. Cases involve voluntary and court involved services depending on family need. The Ongoing Casework Manger supports caseworkers in matching families with services, monitoring safety, complying with state and federal law for child welfare and state policy and procedures for delivering child welfare services. The Ongoing Casework Manager position is committed to ensuring an equitable and inclusive environment for all employees as well as the families and community they serve. This Ongoing Casework Manager is one of four managers in the Ongoing Division. All teams carry a variety of child abuse/ neglect and adolescent families. This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday•Friday 8:00am•4:30pm . This position will work out of 515 Coffman St. Longmont, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt . Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Supervise and mentor staff to ensure the effective and timely provision of services to families Review case materials and manage assignment of families to staff Ensure compliance with state and federal law, and policy to ensure compliance Provide direct support to families addressing abuse, neglect, mental health, and substance abuse issues Assist staff in assessing the safety of children with their families Attend court hearings and provide testimony as necessary Deliver ongoing casework services in a way that will honor and respect various cultural backgrounds and race, ensuring every family feels seen and valued Collect and analyze outcome data to manage programs efficiently and ensure adherence to agency and state guidelines Manage workloads on the team Partner with other Ongoing supervisors to ensure there is consistency in programming and partnership among teams Support staff in engaging families in a supportive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive manner Collaborate with internal and external partners Performs related work, as required May be reassigned during emergency situationsPLEASE NOTE

Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of 5 years of combined education and experience in social casework experience. AND A bachelor's degree from a higher education institution with course work related to the job responsibilities of child welfare social caseworker. Course work examples can include and are not limited to, the development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques. Additional related education may count towards required experience.DRIVER'S LICENSE
