School Social Worker•Special Education (In-Person)
Location:
Elizabeth, CO 80107Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM•3:30PM Contract Duration:
25Weeks Compensation:
$2,000•2,300 per week About the Role "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students within a Special Education setting in Elizabeth, Colorado. This fully onsite role focuses on enhancing students' academic, emotional, and social well-being while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services to students receiving special education support Assist students in managing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges that impact learning Collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective student support plans Conduct student assessments, evaluations, and social history reports as required Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines Connect students and families with appropriate community resources and support services Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment for all students Qualifications Valid Colorado School Social Worker License (required at time of interview) Minimum 1 year of school-based social work experience Strong knowledge of Special Education processes and IEP procedures Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and support staff Must be able to work fully onsite (no remote or hybrid option) For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
