Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a real impact in students' lives as a School Social Worker for the 2026/2027 school year, serving a vibrant high school population near Lone Tree, CO. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to work closely with students, staff, and families to provide essential support and foster a positive educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Active and current social worker license in Colorado required At least one year of experience in a school setting recommended Demonstrated skill in supporting high school age students Familiarity with crisis intervention, case management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication and organizational abilities Empathy, reliability, and adaptability are key attributes
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct needs assessments and provide individual or group counseling to students Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create effective plans for student success Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, offering insight into social, emotional, and behavioral needs Connect families with community resources and provide ongoing case management services Address crisis situations efficiently, offering support and intervention as needed Maintain thorough documentation of services in line with district and state policies
