School-Based Social Worker - Ledyard, Connecticut

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. We are seeking a dedicated K-12 School Social Worker to provide essential support services within a school setting in Ledyard, CT. This contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with students, families, and educational staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, promoting student success and well-being.

Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students' social and emotional needs. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to create a positive learning environment. Provide individual and group counseling services to students. Connect families with community resources and support services. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs. Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies.

Desired Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field. Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker. Experience working in K-12 school environments. Strong understanding of child development, mental health, and social services. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
