Youth Peer Advocate - Southbury McCall Behavioral Health Network - 3.5 Torrington, CT Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 2 days ago Benefits 403(b) matching Employee assistance program 403(b) Gym membership Paid sick time Qualifications Working with youth Full Job Description Youth Peer Advocate - Southbury The Youth Peer Advocate position will function as a member of the Prevention Department at the McCall Behavioral Health Network. The peer advocate will be a key member of the Partnerships for Success 2023 underage drinking prevention initiative within the town of Southbury, Connecticut. The position is paid at a rate of $18 an hour with an allotment of 8 hours per week. Days and hours are flexible. Part-time / Non-Exempt 8 hours weekly / $18.00/hour
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in a Region 15 school or are a resident of Southbury or Middlebury Connecticut. Between the ages of 16 and 24. Strong interest in substance abuse prevention. Excellent communication skills. Must display interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations, including but not limited to youth, schools, law enforcement and community leaders.
