Job Description

MAJOR OBJECTIVES
Recruiting children for the ECAP and Early Head Start program assists in the planning, implementing, and evaluating parent-related activities. Assists in the planning, implementing, and evaluating family and community partnership activities. Makes client referrals and works with staff, clients, and representatives of other agencies to organize and conduct community activities and meetings. Assumes responsibility for primary health care of assigned children at the center level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists in the planning, implementing, and evaluating parent-related activities. a. Ensures compliance with Head Start Parent Involvement requirements. b. Conducted and assisted families with the intake process. c. Establishes rapport with participants and individuals/families, assesses needs, and initiates a plan of action. Conducts home visits. d. Plans and conducts center parent committee meetings in coordination with the Center's Director. Maintains related minutes/documentation as required. e. Establishes resource materials for parents to use.
I. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of Child Plus database experience the requirements below are the required II. knowledge, skill, and/or ability. AA degree in human services or a related field, with a minimum of two years of experience in the health or social work field, is preferred. Must be knowledgeable of community resources. Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Computer proficiency preferred. Extensive travel is required. There are no citations for child abuse or neglect. Flexible hours are required.
III. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
First Aid and CPR. Valid driver's license and transportation.
