Clearwater, FL Job Details Full-time $55,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Child welfare Full Job Description We're seeking a highly organized, compassionate Case Coordinator to support our Child Protection Team. As a Case Coordinator, you will become one of the necessary links that keeps children in our community protected. As a key liaison, the position ensures critical details are managed, communication is seamless, and children and families receive timely, compassionate support. Your coordination helps turn complex systems into clear pathways toward protection and stability. The Child Protection Team Case Coordinator provides direct services to abused and neglected children referred to the team case coordination and forensic interviews. This position works closely with medical personnel and also provides consultation to Child Protective Investigators and Law Enforcement Officials regarding children and families affected by abuse.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate and track child protection cases to ensure timely completion of documentation, referrals, and follow‑up actions. Complete specialty or forensic interviews with children, family members, and significant others. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date electronic and paper case records in compliance with agency, state, and federal requirements. Serve as a central point of communication among case managers, child protection, service providers, legal partners, law enforcement and families. Coordinate client services and referrals to community agencies. Provide depositions and court testimony, as necessary on criminal cases. Assist with intake, case assignment, and case closure processes. Conduct training in the community for professional staff on child abuse awareness and services of the Child Protection Team. Participate in a scheduled after-hours on call rotation. Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and trauma‑informed practices in all interactions. A Bachelors or Master's degree in a Human Services field, Psychology, Social Work or Nursing. At least two years of post-bachelor experience working with children or families, one year of which must be working with abused and neglected children. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and commitment to child safety and family preservation. Ability to pass a level II background screening and drug test.
