Full Job Description Therapist, Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker Therapist - Experience working with Military and Veterans required. Windmoor Healthcare of Clearwater is a freestanding, full service 144-bed psychiatric hospital specializing in successful treatment of acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for adults 18 years and older. Located in beautiful, picturesque Clearwater, Florida, the hospital is conveniently located and accessible 24 hours/day for admissions. Treatment programs and specialty services include substance abuse, dual diagnosis / rapid stabilization, 24-hour mental health assessment and partial hospitalization. We are pleased to announce the following available position: Therapist - Military experience.Responsibilities:
The Therapist is responsible to conduct therapeutic services for patients and provide counseling sessions for families, individuals and groups. Interview and develop the psychosocial history, assess the therapeutic needs of the individual and family and make clinical mental health evaluations, develop appropriate treatment objectives and established periodic treatment summaries. Act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patients' stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. Participate as liaison with external agencies and individuals to develop and coordinate discharge planning with the treatment team and patients' families.Job Requirements:
Education:
Master's Degree or doctoral from an accredited college or university in Social Work.Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy preferred. Military experience- required.Additional Requirements:
CPR certification and successful completion of restraining procedures training within 30 days of employment. Understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC), AHCA, OSHA and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and their family members, multidisciplinary treatment team members, managed care representatives and external agencies in a clear, concise, calm, professional manner. Demonstrate excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.Physical Requirements:
Move efficiently enough to meet the needs of several patients and/or move rapidly to provide timely intervention of patient aggression. Able to stand, sit and walk during work shift. Able to hear spoken words in a normal vocal range, respond to signals, alarms, codes or other displays. Recognize vocal intonation that signal changes in acuity. Able to bend, reach and stoop. Must write legibly so as to accurately convey information. Able to read instructions and complete documentation and reports. Restrain, as part of a team, an aggressive patient in a safe and therapeutic manner. Able to lift, position or move patients in order to or assist in searches and procedures. Perform activities requiring manual dexterity. Able to lift 30 lbs.We offer benefits:
