In this vital role, you will oversee supervised visits, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while promoting healthy family interactions. Your expertise in child welfare, crisis intervention, and conflict management will help create a nurturing environment that fosters trust and stability. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families navigating challenging circumstances, supporting their journey toward reunification and healing. Duties Monitor and supervise visits between children and their parents or guardians in accordance with court orders and agency policies Implement motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive family interactions and communication Conduct crisis intervention when necessary to de-escalate conflicts or address safety concerns during visits Maintain detailed documentation of visit activities, incidents, and observations to ensure compliance with legal and agency standards Collaborate with child protective services, family law professionals, and behavioral health providers to support family reunification efforts Assess the needs of children with disabilities or special requirements, adapting supervision strategies accordingly Manage conflicts or behavioral issues during visits using conflict management skills to promote a safe environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, child development, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education Proven experience working with children, families, or individuals with disabilities in a social work or childcare setting Knowledge of child welfare laws, family law procedures, and child protective services protocols Strong skills in crisis management, behavioral health support, and conflict resolution Ability to utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster positive communication Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural sensitivities Excellent observational skills combined with clear documentation abilities Join us in creating a safe space where families can reconnect and rebuild trust.
