Full Job Description Social Worker Pay:
$40 to $50 per hour.
Shift:
Mondays & Tuesdays. Part time days.
Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual (Spanish/English) Registered Intern to provide trauma-informed counseling services to individuals within the LGBTQ+ community and the broader Central Florida population. This is a part-time, hourly position available as either a 1099 independent contractor or W-2 employee, depending on candidate preference and organizational needs. This opportunity is ideal for graduates in counseling, social work, or related behavioral health fields who are working toward licensure and seeking supervised clinical experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, committed to culturally affirming care, and interested in gaining experience in both insurance-based and self-pay clinical practice. We prefer candidates to have a qualified clinical supervisor and be fluent in both English and Spanish but not required to qualify.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Counseling:
Provide individual counseling sessions using trauma-informed and culturally affirming approaches for LGBTQ+ individuals and other clients. 
Assessment & Treatment Planning:
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized, strengths-based treatment plans aligned with trauma-informed care. 
Culturally Affirming Care:
Deliver inclusive, identity-affirming services with sensitivity to diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds. 
Collaboration:
Coordinate care with other clinicians, peer support staff, and community partners to support comprehensive treatment. 
Psychoeducation & Advocacy:
Provide education on trauma, mental health, coping skills, and LGBTQ+ related concerns; support community awareness when appropriate. 
Documentation:
Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and required administrative records. 
Professional Development:
Participate in supervision, consultation, and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and support licensure progression.
Qualifications:
 Master's degree completed in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field  Registered Intern eligible in the State of Florida (or in process)  Must already have a qualified Board-Approved Supervisor  Fluency in Spanish and English (required)  Interest in or experience working with LGBTQ+ populations  Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles (or willingness to learn)  Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills  Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team  Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality  Flexible and adaptable to client needs and scheduling Position Details  Part-Time  Hourly Compensation (based on experience)  1099 Independent Contractor OR W-2 Employment Option  Flexible scheduling available  Hybrid opportunities may be available depending on caseload Professional Growth Opportunities  Gain hours toward independent licensure  Experience providing LGBTQ+ affirming care and trauma-informed therapy  Exposure to both insurance-based and private-pay practice models  Administrative and credentialing support after licensure  Opportunity for growth into expanded clinical roles  Collaborative and supportive clinical environment This position offers a meaningful opportunity to build clinical experience, support underserved populations, and develop professional skills while working toward independent licensure.
