Duties Prepare and serve a variety of nutritious meals, snacks, and beverages in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards. Coordinate meal service operations, ensuring timely delivery of food to students while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders to ensure the cafeteria is well-stocked with fresh ingredients and supplies. Supervise student meal lines, assist with serving food efficiently, and promote courteous customer service to create an inviting atmosphere. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, proper handling procedures, and sanitation protocols at all times. Support special catering events or banquet-style functions within the school environment, ensuring smooth execution from setup to cleanup. Collaborate with staff to implement dietary accommodations for students with allergies or specific health needs, acting as a dietary aide when necessary. Skills Proven experience in food service environments such as fine dining, restaurants, catering, or banquet settings. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with students, staff, and visitors. Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a hygienic kitchen. Experience in food preparation techniques suitable for large-scale meal production in school or hospitality settings. Familiarity with dietary accommodations and dietary aide responsibilities to support diverse student needs. Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory, coordinating meal times, and overseeing catering events. Barista or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food industry roles.
