Housing and Vocational Supervisor Days/Hours:
M-F 9:00am-6:00pm. May include a flexible work shift depending on department and agency needs. Saturdays may be required based on the needs of the agency.Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) or a related field and minimum three years of relevant experience required. Master's degree, preferred Minimum of 3 years of case management or service coordination experience. Valid Florida driver's license. Acceptable driving record. Proof of automobile liability insurance.Position Summary:
The Community Services Coordinator is responsible for effectively identifying and resolving barriers to accessing appropriate care and resources, linking domestic violence survivors to community resources, and building relationships with community partners. The Community Services Coordinator will develop and build an array of on-site programs and services to increase safety, stability, and self-sufficiency. The Community Services Coordinator will ensure that all services provided are empowerment-based and are consistent with the domestic violence standards of care. All employees of Women In Distress are considered "essential" and as such may be required to be available to remain onsite and/or required to assist during emergencies and other critical times.Essential Job Functions:
Provide trauma-informed direct services to survivors of domestic violence including individual counseling and crisis intervention as needed. Utilize the empowerment model and maintains a non-judgmental attitude towards participant's decisions. Model non-violent conflict resolution and take appropriate steps to deal with emergency situations with the goal of maintaining the safety and well-being of the participants. Serve as a representative in the community. Promote decreasing barriers for survivors and their families through community advocacy work and maintaining ongoing engagement with the community. Attend, coordinate, and schedule community partner meetings and outreach opportunities to build collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders. Reduce barriers and increase accessibility to services and resources by building a broad network of referral options. Work closely with supervisor to develop an internal database of community resources and referrals. Determine program eligibility, identify agency contacts, and review referral process. Assist Outreach, Residential, and Hotline team in providing comprehensive case management services to participants. Assist in the coordination and active linkage of participants to community resources. Serve as an advocate/liaison between participants and other services providers. Develop and build an array of on-site programs and services to increase safety, stability, and self-sufficiency. Plan and coordinate workshops and enrichment activities for participants that provide education on available resources, improve the quality of life and wellness of participants, and strengthen family relationships to include: health fairs and health initiative, medical, dental, and vision screenings, women's health services, safe sleep, and other educational and enrichment programs. Coordinate and facilitate trainings for staff on available community resources. Coordinate and facilitate trainings for the community on the services that Women In Distress provides and the ongoing barriers survivors face when attempting to obtain safety, stability, and self-sufficiency. Maintain current and accurate participant records and files through proper chart documentation and/or date entry into required computer database. Participates in peer file reviews to ensure quality assurance of files. Staff will meet position quality assurance standards. Complete monthly deliverables and annual reports in compliance with grant funding requirements. Staff will meet position funding contractual obligations.Additional requirements:
Employee will be required to complete DCF Core Competency training and obtain a passing grade of 75% or higher.Pay:
