Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Reviews daily all police reports and makes verbal contact with survivors within 72 hours of receiving report. Provides crisis de-escalation, developing safety plans, providing referrals, completing registrations, facilitating educational or support groups and conduct individual crisis counseling as needed. Provides training for local community partners including law enforcement staff on topics relevant to the InVEST Project including but not limited to, the dynamics of domestic violence, the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse, safety planning, batters accountability, behavior and characteristics of abuser. Establishes and maintains relationships with community partners to support participant needs which may include such things as providing information and resources and/or learning about available programs that could assist participants in their needs. Conducts individual support service discussion with participants in outreach and residential programs to include registration, goal setting, safety planning, and referrals. Co -designs a support service plan with the program participant and identifies the appropriate community referral for participant to review and choose from. Will provide court accompaniment/support and services to survivors involved in the child welfare system. Facilitates orientation, support, and/or empowerment groups, maintaining or consistently increasing group attendance. Provides advocacy services utilizing the empowerment model while maintaining a non-judgmental attitude towards participant's decisions. Maintains strict standards of confidentiality. Maintains current and accurate participant records by documenting participant's activities in file and/or required computer database. Works in a collaborative manner with appropriate agency staff to complete referrals and linkage to both internal and external community partners to meet survivor's goals and service plan. Meet position productivity standards and funding contractual obligations on a regular basis. Meet position quality assurance standards on a regular basis. Follows State and Agency guidelines when reports of child abuse and incident reports as required and notifies supervisor in a timely manner. Completes other tasks as assigned.
