Parent Coach Position Overview:

Unlockt is seeking a compassionate and skilled Parent Coach to support parents of children with ADHD in understanding and navigating our unique Unlockt Parent Curriculum. As a rapidly growing startup, we're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is willing to roll up their sleeves, and embraces a scrappy, can-do attitude to help shape and grow our programs. The Parent Coach will facilitate one-hour coaching sessions (either in person at our location or via Zoom), conduct assessments, track progress, and provide continuous support through the Unlockt App. This role is instrumental in helping families build strategies for success and empowering them with the tools they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Parent Coaching Sessions:

Conduct one-hour coaching sessions with parents to guide them through the Unlockt Parent Curriculum. Use empathetic communication and evidence-based strategies to address specific parent needs and challenges.

Session Preparation and Documentation:

Review and compile session materials from the Unlockt Parent Curriculum, tailored to the individual needs of each family. Assess parent needs and customize coaching approaches accordingly, creating custom materials as needed. Document and monitor parent progress after each session.

Ongoing Support:

Respond promptly to parent inquiries and messages through the Unlockt App. Assign activities and review parent progress through Unlockt App curriculum. Offer encouragement, clarification, and actionable strategies between sessions.

Data Review and Reporting:

Collect and compile progress data for individual parents and families. Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends to improve outcomes.

Assessments:

Conduct initial and final assessments with parents to determine strengths and challenges. Develop, write, and review reports of findings including tailored recommendations with parents. Help implement recommendations through personalized goal setting and tailored coaching sessions.

Startup Spirit:

Adapt to evolving processes and systems as Unlockt grows. Bring creative problem-solving to help refine and improve the parent coaching experience. Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to streamline operations.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field (preferred but not required). BCBA preferred. Experience working with families, children, and in coaching/mentorship roles. Knowledge of ADHD or related special needs and evidence-based strategies for supporting children and families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to empathize and engage effectively with parents. Comfortable using technology, including video conferencing platforms, apps, and data tracking tools. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills. A flexible, adaptable mindset and a willingness to take on diverse tasks as part of a growing team.
