Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Case Manager - Dependency Essential Responsibilities Meet all Florida statute requirements for children in the Dependency System. Manage assigned caseload with children and families in the child welfare system. Supervise families and children on caseload and make ongoing assessments regarding child safety. Complete assessments within the required time frames. Provide case management services to clients following established guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures. Conduct home visits with children, parents and caregivers to assess child safety, case permanency and well-being. Rotational on-call duties. Assist with court hearings through participation in hearings and arranging transportation for the client/family. Assist with alternative placements for children in home as necessary. Maintain documentation for client records and input data into the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) as required. Requirements Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or related field. Obtain Child Welfare Certification within the probationary period, no later than one year, and maintain on an ongoing basis required. Ability to be sensitive to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Must be able to work under tight schedules and possess the ability to handle pressure associated with deadlines. Valid Florida state issued drivers license and insurance required. Must have the ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor, respect for authority, exhibit appropriate interaction skills, and maintain confidentiality standards. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Pay $21.64 per hour upon hire, $22.84 after passing the pre-service exam, $24.04 once certified.
