Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Summer Program Site Coordinator to lead engaging and enriching elementary school summer programs. In this vital role, you will oversee daily activities, ensure a safe and supportive environment, and foster positive interactions among children. Your leadership will inspire young learners to explore, grow, and enjoy a memorable summer experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development while honing your skills in education, childcare, and program management. Responsibilities Coordinate daily schedules and activities that promote fun, learning, and social-emotional growth for elementary school students Manage classroom environments with effective behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques Supervise staff, volunteers, and children to ensure safety and adherence to program guidelines Implement health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Foster inclusive environments that support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and program updates Lead recreational activities such as sports coaching, arts and crafts, theater performances, or other enrichment programs to enhance student engagement Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or childcare programs Ability to handle emergency situations using first aid skills confidently Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for elementary-aged children Experience supporting students with special needs or in inclusive educational settings is a plus Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and community partners Join us in creating a vibrant summer experience that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and nurtures the potential of every child!
Pay:
$23.67 - $28.51 per hour
