We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 600 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.
Job Summary:
The Visitation Program Monitor provides direct supervision of visitation between children and their parents and/or other family members. The list below is intended to provide an overview of the essential functions of the job. This is not an exhaustive list of all functions and responsibilities that the position may be required to provide. Monitor supervised visitations between children and their parents and other family members. Visitation may be conducted in visitation rooms or in other locations in the community. Ensure appropriate interactions between family and children during supervised visits. Document in the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) the outcome of all visitations that are scheduled within 48 hours of the completed visitation. Respond to incoming e-mails and phone calls Contact Case Management staff with any concerns and/or pertinent information Perform other duties as assigned. Responding timely to communications either from e-mails or phone calls. Contacting staff as needed to maintain client files and provide needed information. Recognizing, respecting and responding to the unique, culturally defined needs of persons and families serviced.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
Years of Experience:
One (1) year of experience in Social Services required
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Associate's degree preferred Valid Florida state issued driver's license and insurance require Operate their own vehicle safely observing all rules of the road to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in the vehicle.
