Job Description
Chroma Early Learning Academy is hiring a STP Transition Coach in Alpharetta, GA Summary The Summer Transition Program (STP) Transition Coach serves as a vital liaison between families, schools, and program staff to ensure children and their families experience a smooth and successful transition into Georgia's Pre-K or Kindergarten. This part-time role focuses on building strong family partnerships, increasing engagement, and providing guidance, resources, and support throughout the transition process. Working closely with the Site Director and classroom teachers, the Transition Coach supports family recruitment, facilitates ongoing communication, and delivers meaningful workshops and engagement opportunities that promote school readiness and family involvement. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, highly organized, and passionate about supporting young children and their families during critical early learning transitions. This is a part time position as a coach for one class or full time as a coach for two classes. Duties Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, teachers, and school leaders Support family recruitment efforts and promote participation in the Summer Transition Program Guide families through the transition process into Pre-K or Kindergarten (registration, school selection, transportation, etc.) Plan and facilitate weekly family engagement activities and parent workshops Connect families with community resources and support services based on their needs Maintain consistent communication with families using phone, messaging apps, and written correspondence Monitor student attendance and collaborate with teachers to address concerns Assist with maintaining accurate student records and required documentation Partner with teachers to support family involvement in classroom activities and at-home learning Track and document engagement efforts, activities, and outcomes Requirements CDA, TCC, TCD, Paraprofessional Certificate, Associate's Degree (AA, AS, AAS, AAT) or higher credential in child development, early childhood education, family and child development, elementary education, educational leadership Experience working with families of young children Comfortable speaking with adults Ability to plan and facilitate adult workshops and family engagement activities Experience providing professional presentations Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule Strong organizational skills Fluently speak, read, write, and understand English and Spanish (Rising Pre-K) Demonstrate enthusiasm, interest, and skill in assisting families Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Discount for childcare About Us Our Company is based out of Alpharetta, GA operating 18 Childcare Centers around
