Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Travel A part-time Social Worker position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, based in Emerson, GA. This role involves supporting K5 students across four classrooms, consisting of approximately 24 children with moderate to intensive behavioral needs. The commitment is around 15 hours per week from August 5th, 2026, through May 26th, 2027, with potential additional days for pre- and post-planning.

Responsibilities:

Provide social work services to K5 students displaying moderate to intensive behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop and implement support plans Conduct assessments and provide counseling as needed for individual students and groups Monitor student progress and adapt interventions accordingly Document services and maintain accurate case records aligned with district policies

Qualifications:

Georgia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Educator Certification is required Prior experience as an LCSW within a school environment preferred Ability to manage a caseload of young children with diverse behavioral needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to part-time hours and school calendar requirements
