In this dynamic role, you'll oversee daily program operations, foster a positive environment, and support children's developmental needs through creative programming. Your leadership will inspire young minds, promote teamwork, and ensure a nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth engagement. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise after-school activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment. Coordinate with teachers, parents, and community partners to support children's individual needs and ensure program goals are met. Oversee the safety of all participants by implementing health protocols and maintaining first aid readiness at all times. Lead team members and volunteers in delivering quality after school care, music and arts programs, or other enrichment activities. Monitor attendance records and maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents. Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages positive interactions among children of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain discipline while nurturing creativity and independence. Experience working with children with autism in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or camp environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles to tailor activities appropriately for various age groups. Proficiency in first aid procedures to respond effectively to minor injuries or emergencies. Background in special education or experience supporting children with diverse learning needs is a plus. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and community partners.
