Job Description

JOB Recruitment Number 26-101LJ , Social Worker III (Kids First), SR-20•, Kapolei, Oahu. Salary rate effective 07/01/2026.
Note:
This position requires a current valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle .
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides professional social work, crisis intervention, counseling, referral, and program support services for the Kids First program, which promotes positive co-parenting relationships and effective communication among families involved in divorce and paternity custody cases. Responsibilities include serving as a primary point of contact for parents; assessing family needs and crisis situations; providing guidance on divorce-related issues, parenting concerns, and available community resources; determining the appropriateness of program participation; and making referrals to specialized services when needed. The position evaluates requests for program exemptions and makes recommendations to the court, oversees children's program sessions, provides consultation and direction to volunteer facilitators, and intervenes in emotionally charged or disruptive situations to ensure participant safety and program effectiveness. Additional duties include recruiting, screening, training, and evaluating volunteer facilitators; collaborating with service providers and community partners; disseminating program information to court personnel, attorneys, and the public; supporting program development and evaluation efforts; and ensuring meaningful access to services for individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency through coordination of translation and interpreter services.
