Shelter Advocate 2pm-10pm

Full-Time position working 40 hours per week (typically 2pm-10pm) . Schedule does include some weekends and overnights occasionally. AA degree in Human Service field preferred but will consider a combination of education and experience. Principal Requirements- Provide confidential crisis intervention through crisis counseling, information and referral, safety planning and personal advocacy in a trauma informed environment to adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault at the Crisis Based Shelter located in Fort Dodge, IA. Answering crisis lines, transporting, cleaning, preparing food, serving food, assisting victims that reside at the shelter with day to day tasks and other duties as assigned.
