Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Social Worker in a supportive school environment near Aurora, IL. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential social-emotional support and resources to children and adolescents, helping them succeed both academically and personally.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active licensure as a Social Worker Prior experience serving in a school setting strongly preferred Solid understanding of student support programs, social-emotional learning, and behavioral interventions Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing student needs Strong problem-solving abilities and a compassionate, student-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement support plans Conduct assessments and participate in special education meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team Advocate for student needs and connect them with appropriate community resources Educate and support faculty and parents regarding best practices for addressing social, behavioral, and emotional concerns Maintain accurate records and adhere to all school district policies and confidentiality guidelines Experience the satisfaction of making a positive difference every day.
