Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker Previous experience working in school settings preferred Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health and development Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and outside agencies Compassionate, resourceful, and able to handle sensitive situations confidentially
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional or social challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to implement intervention strategies Conduct social-emotional assessments and support the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) Connect students and families with community resources and outside support services as needed Assist in crisis intervention and prevention programs within the school Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise in student evaluations This contract role offers a chance to make meaningful contributions alongside a supportive network of professionals in education.
