Job Description Summary :
The Home Visiting Manager supports the Early Head Start home visitors in providing child development and parent involvement services to families which includes home visits, socializations, and case management in accordance with program guidelines. The position will provide supervision to home visitors in planning and implementing home-based program activities, the home visiting curriculum, and the delivery of comprehensive support to pregnant women and parents of birth-to-three-year-olds. The manager will ensure home visitors apply case management techniques and strategies to individual families on their caseloads and monitor markers of progress for each home visitor.

N/A Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide home visitors with training, modeling, and coaching on providing curriculum driven child development, parent education and family support. Monitor the compliance of home visitors required weekly, 90-minute home visits and the facilitation of a minimum of two socializations per month with parent-child interaction and other activities. Ensure home visitors have information, tools and training to implement all aspects of the home visiting curriculum and the Early Head Start performance standards. Conduct home visitor trainings and support the home visitor on-boarding process. Develop and support home visitors' professional development to enable them to provide support, planning and education to expectant mothers to ensure a healthy pre-natal experience. Monitor and track home visitors' successful completion of all required screenings/assessments of assigned children and completion of family assessments/partnership agreements for each assigned family. Observe, evaluate, and provide feedback on home visitor's skills through reflective supervision; attend at least one home visit per month with each home visitor. Review all home visiting plans, schedules, and weekly attendance reports and compile monthly attendance reporting to the Educational Director. Monitor and ensure home visitor's completion of all required paperwork, documentation and case records within established deadlines and ensure all child/family files are up to date and accurate. Monitor and ensure home visitors completion of data entry for all assigned families including the COPA system and maintain confidentiality of all related records and information according to Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc. policy and procedures. Develop and complete accurate and timely monthly reports that identify progress in meeting program goals and performance standards; develop plans to address areas of improvement as needed, wholly and individually. Coordinate and collaborate with other Agency staff to provide required and necessary services. Participate in all required and necessary staff meetings; Continue professional growth by participating in classes, training programs, workshops and/or conferences, as the budget allows. Perform other duties assigned which are reasonable within the scope of the duties numerated above.
Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or early child development, Social Work, Family Studies, or related field. Must have at least three years' experience working with children and families in a human services or education setting AND at least one year of supervisory experience. Proof of valid driver's license and full coverage insurance; daily access to a personal vehicle is required as this role travels frequently (local). Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Willingness and aptitude to work primarily in homes of families residing in high-risk communities and flexibility with respect to time and days. Ability to professionally communicate in various formats including verbal and written communication in English; speaking more than one language is a plus. Must demonstrate the experiences, beliefs, attitude and awareness that indicate cultural sensitivity to the client population served. Must be able to partner with participants individually, in family, to help them mobilize resources and their inner capacity to address problems they face. Strong approach in working with families that is empathic, non-judgmental, respectful and professional; demonstrated ability to problem solve, handle crises and work with families and children from low-income backgrounds. Compensation within the posted salary range varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, and performance at the time of the offer .
Mental/Physical Demands:
Ability to conceptualize and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
