Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Chicago, IL. Your expertise as a school-based Social Worker will help foster emotional well-being and academic success for students of diverse backgrounds. Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and families to create inclusive solutions that drive positive change both in and out of the classroom.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution State licensure as a School Social Worker Previous experience in K-12 educational settings preferred Excellent communication and advocacy abilities Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Compassionate approach dedicated to empowering youth and families Familiarity with current intervention strategies and crisis management
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide direct intervention services for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges Develop and implement individualized plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Serve as a liaison between school staff, parents, and community resources Deliver group or individual counseling as needed Maintain confidential documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations Contribute to the development of a positive, supportive, and equitable school culture Participate in IEP or 504 meetings, providing insight on student needs
