Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a genuine difference for students by supporting their emotional and social well-being in a dynamic school-based setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Social Worker who believes in providing compassionate guidance, advocacy, and resources to help students thrive both in and out of the classroom. What we're looking for: Valid licensure as a Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent eligible for school-based social work). Background in school settings or similar environments preferred, with a solid understanding of student support frameworks. Effective communication and rapport-building skills with students, families, and educators. Ability to assess student needs and implement evidence-based interventions. Adaptability and cultural competence to serve diverse student populations.
Your impact will include:
Conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and facilitating one-on-one or group counseling sessions for students. Consulting with teachers and staff to foster a positive educational environment and manage crises as they arise. Coordinating resources and collaborating with families to support student wellness and success. Advocating for students' rights and accessing community-based resources as necessary. Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams.
