Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract A fulfilling opportunity awaits those dedicated to supporting students' emotional well-being in a school setting. This full-time contract position is ideal for experienced professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents, from Pre K all the way through 12th grade, for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. Ideal candidates have a background in school-based social work and are adept at addressing the diverse needs of students across multiple grade levels. This dynamic role offers rewarding challenges and the chance to foster positive change in the school community.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Current state licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility for certification Experience supporting students in Pre K through 12th grade preferred Knowledge of educational systems, crisis intervention, and behavioral management Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, families, and administrators Ability to develop and implement student intervention plans
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling for students facing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to assess student needs and develop strategies for their success Support crisis intervention efforts and advocate for students as needed Address issues related to attendance, behavior, and social adjustment, working closely with school leadership Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as required Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state policies Working in this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on students' growth and success throughout a pivotal academic year.
