Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity where your expertise as a bilingual Social Worker makes a genuine difference for students. As a valued school-based professional for the 2026-2027 school year, you'll work 1-2 days per week (up to 14 hours) supporting young learners with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) who are bilingual in English and Spanish. In addition, you'll collaborate with general education teams and contribute to a positive school climate, offering a blend of direct student support and impactful program involvement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Hold a valid School Social Worker license in Illinois Proficient in both English and Spanish; able to offer culturally responsive services Experienced in school-based or healthcare social work settings Compassionate, flexible, and highly organized Comfortable with IEP processes, goal-setting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct services to bilingual students with IEPs, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Support general education bilingual programs within the building while on-site Facilitate effective communication between families, staff, and community partners Serve as an advocate for diverse students, ensuring equitable access to support services Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate on evaluations and service plans
