School-Based Social Worker | Lemont, Illinois Soliant - 3.9 Lemont, IL Job Details Contract $34.55 - $54.55 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications School experience Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. What you'll bring: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Active state licensure/certification to practice as a School Social Worker Prior experience working with students in an educational setting preferred Strong interpersonal and communication abilities—capable of building rapport with students, families, and staff Understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and a commitment to supporting equity and inclusion Ability to manage sensitive situations confidentially and professionally Self-motivation and organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively Key responsibilities: Deliver direct social work services to students and families, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact learning Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create intervention strategies and support plans Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to foster student well-being and resilience Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to facilitate student success Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and other multidisciplinary team processes Support crisis intervention and provide short-term or ongoing case management as needed Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and legal regulations If you're passionate about creating positive change in the lives of young learners and enjoy working in a collaborative, student-centered environment, this role could be a great fit.
